Since acquiring the sole Agency for Comfort and Fit ® brands in WA., we have been able to offer our Customers the widest possible range of off-the-shelf, comfort footwear in the State.  Together with our Custom-made surgical grade footwear, we are committed to finding the best possible footwear solutions for our Customers.

Most people know that wearing ill-fitting shoes can accentuate foot problems causing discomfort or injury and make walking or standing extremely difficult and painful. It is vital that your footwear is correctly fitted and is designed specifically for your foot type. As members of the Australian Pedorthic Medical Grade Footwear Association, our staff participate in on-going education programmes so are well qualified to assist you.

Off-the-shelf/Ready-made Footwear: Every effort is made to provide the widest possible range of styles and sizes. Many of our internationally renowned brands are not only available in a choice of widths, but also come with extra deep toe boxes and removable inlays to accommodate orthotics or simply ensure a perfect fit.

We stock the most popular styles of the following brands: PW Minor, Finn Comfort, Rockport, Kumfs, Naot, Theresia M, Propét, Walk On, X-Sensible, Semler, DB Easy, Hush Puppies, Rieker, Dr Comfort, Brooks, Gadean, Wide Load, Piedro and many others.

Custom made footwear: When off-the-shelf footwear is no longer an option, Perth Surgical Shoemakers can manufacture surgical footwear from measurements and tracings and/or casts of the feet, thus ensuring appropriate and comfortable footwear for our Customers.

Modifications to footwear: Our expert shoemakers are available to carry out all types of modifications/adjustments to new and existing footwear. From simple repairs to more complex prescriptive requirements, all work is carried out on our premises by highly qualified staff. .

Accommodative Orthotics: Custom-made accommodative orthotic insoles can be provided to Customers with various foot problems, the most prevalent being Pronation (commonly known as flat feet) or Plantar Fasciitis (associated with heel pain). Our qualified staff will assist with identifying your problem and orthotic insoles can be manufactured quickly by taking plantar impression of the feet and vacuum moulding onto modified positive casts. Assistance is also offered on correctly fitting your orthotics into appropriate footwear..

Caliper AFO’s: We also offer a complete calliper (AFO) service from assessment through to manufacture and final fitting.

Home Visits: Our convenient, time-saving Home Visit Service is available to those Customers unable to travel to our store.  An experienced shoe fitting will measure your feet and will advise and fit footwear according to your needs. Please call us for further information.

Funding: As suppliers to WA Health Services – Hospitals, Department of Veterans’ Affairs and Insurance Companies, some of our services, such as custom-made accommodative orthotics, are claimable directly through your private health fund using our receipt and Provider number.
